Art in November!

Happy Halloween, everyone! As we take a breath and step into November, once again, there are many exciting things to see and do starting with the Grand Re-opening of Duluth Fine Pianos (DFP). O n Friday, November 2 , DFP will host a free Jazz concert to celebrate it's new space - complete with my Zentangle (R) inspired artwork complementing all those shiny, black pianos.  Saturday, November 3 is the deadline to participate in a gingerbread making workshop scheduled for November 10, as part of this year's Pepperkakebyen, Duluth's Gingerbread City , festivities at the Nordic Center. During the day on  Saturday, November 10 , my artist friend, genealogy expert, and brand new author  Kathleen M. Cargill will be signing her new book: Letters From Lucia: A young woman's travels to England as WWII looms  at the Get Great Stuff Local Art & Gift Fair . Welcome to Fall, Northland! Chilly nights and cooler days also bring colorful leaves and many, fun Fall events. Check out Northland Days in Superior, which begins with Goin' Postal's Fall Art & Music Festival featuring many fantastic artists, including new work by Ed Newman. There are several author/illustrator events at Zenith Bookstore this month including watercolor artist Samantha Neilson 's first book and signing. And there are plenty of art exhibits just waiting to be viewed at your leisure in the On View section at the bottom of this post. I hope you enjoy this new format. Feel free to leave me a comment.
